Where has your passion for performance come from?

Playing and watching a variety of sports growing up I have always been intrigued by individuals and teams that could consistently produce great performances. This interest has grown to other areas, especially business where individual and team performance can often be harder to measure yet just as impactful.         

Who is your leadership role model and why?

My housemaster at school was an inspiring leader. He was very empowering, allowing boys the freedom to make mistakes, yet provided the guidance to ensure the right lessons were learnt. He demonstrated a true belief in potential which is something I will never forget.

What is your Lane4 career highlight?

A huge highlight has been working on a programme which I helped to win in my previous role in the Business Development Team. This was a great feeling and I took pride in the success of the programme from start to finish.  

What do you think gives managers and their teams the winning edge?

I think there are a number of things that contribute to the ‘winning edge’, one of which is building close relationships amongst team members. This creates trust within the team and allows for a number of important outcomes, including creativity and healthy team conflict.
